Barn wedding is my favourite type of a wedding. This one happened in Brecon Beacons Alltybrain Cottages, in a beautiful Welsh scenery of fields, farms, hills and love

Its all started from the initial consultation where I went to meet Tam and Fred, only a few weeks before the wedding. Ever since I couldn’t just stop thinking about this wedding and this couple as everything in that place was just what every photographer needs.

Beautiful couple, most amazing country landscape, most wonderfully run farm that happened to be a holiday stay as well and wonderfully warm and welcoming people who actually are the most important part of the day.

I knew straight from the first sight this is going to be my “wedding baby”.

(I think they actually put a spell on me by feeding me with their homemade apple juice produced from their very own apples and freshly pressed in a local presser). This was just lush!

The wedding itself was a blaster!! The energy of the day was very catching right from the start.

When I arrived Tam was still decorating their beautiful barn which looked just like form a whimsical wonderland. She used a selection of herbs in ceramic pots for the table decoration. All the place tags, sitting plan and other details were handmade by her and her friends. You could easily tell these girls know their stuff. t looked just stunning and I simply cannot imagine having a different type of decoration for that amazing barn.

I left them to finish off the prep and headed off to see Fred with his mates enjoying their pint in a local pub (and putting the socks on which you will see in the below gallery!) – what a lovely and relaxed bunch of people. Who said you cant do the groom preparation outdoors… in a pub??!!

The time was running very quickly so after taking few great and candid photos I went to see Tamsin for few moments and finishing touches and headed to the local church so I could capture of the big arrival. The temperature was rising, not because of the hot weather, but the emotions before the “I do”.

Tamsin arrived on time which is against the tradition, but who argues with a bride??

Fred was, I would say a little excited to see her in her beautiful silky gown form Sadoni and blooming with smiles and love. I love seeing grooms nearly gasping for air for excitement.

It was a beautiful ceremony and most amazing confetti I have seen so far.

The couple run out of the churchyard into their wedding jeep and went to welcome their guest in a beautifully prepared marquee, all decorated and spruced up by themselves in their gardens.

You can only imagine was happened next, the laughter and chat had no end.

Speeches happened outdoors as well which from the photography perspective could be nothing better! I have to say photographing those speeches was one of the hardest things possibly during the whole day as I just couldn’t stop laughing myself and hold my camera steady.

More laughter and fun happened on the dance floor after their wedding breakfast, I felt totally overwhelmed with the number of action shots from the dance floor. Its a photographers feast for the eyes when you see the guest rocking out on the dance floor and really owning the place! What could be a better summary of a wedding day?
